Operation Car Wash

It has been an exciting day of ministry here in Hilton Head.

We divided up again in the morning and some of our team went back to Habitat to continue building in the community there where many houses are being built for families in need. Another group stayed behind at Providence Church to help with the many projects on the very large campus here. Finally, a handful of people were so impacted by the work being done at Sandalwood Food Pantry that they went back to deliver all of the groceries they purchased on Tuesday to donate.

On Wednesday afternoon it was time for Operation Car Wash. Well, basically. It was a car wash supporting the purchase of soccer balls and pumps for the Operation Christmas Child boxes that Providence Church has been assembling. This is the first time they have done a fundraiser like this to support this project and they said they were thinking that maybe we would be able to raise about $500 but God really showed up and blew us all out of the water. The team was actually able to help raise $1,785 in about 3 1/2 hours! Won’t God do it?!?

After the Car Wash it was time for dinner and fellowship with the church before going to the Wednesday night service where the team was able to worship, participate in the Wednesday night Bible Study, and also share a few testimonies from the week and how God has impacted their lives and how this will impact them when they go back home. It was amazing hearing from the kids and just seeing how this mission trip has sparked something in them that they can now take back with them to Holland, Michigan.

There is one more full day of ministry left for the team and we are excited and praying for the team to finish strong!
