The island views and ocean waves here are truly stunning. It sounds like the perfect place to live. However, when you live full time in a nursing home or care facility you can get pretty lonely, pretty quickly. We were blessed to go touch some beautiful hearts at Bloom and Memory Matters.

Bloom and Memory Matters are both wonderful, clean, amazingly run facilities for Alzheimer care patients and the elderly. They have kind, helpful staff and are a joy to go to. This week we were able to lead the residents in Bingo- a big hit at Bloom. They played Scrabble at Memory Matters and at both places they were able to help with gardens.  It was amazing seeing the youngest of our family mission trip participants get to lead this ministry and visit with the residents.

The residents were very excited to see the children- I'd say the feeling was mutual.
