Gratitude That is what I am overwhelmed by as I reflect back on the past week with Adventures in Missions.  Coming to Hilton Head from Colorado on our first ever mission trip, was a life changing experience.  We arrived as a group of homeschooled highschoolers and chaperones, many with no experience in missions.  We left with a deepened sense of purpose, stronger faith, broader courage, and more profound understanding of God’s love for us and others.  Our week was packed with relational and physical opportunities to serve the community of Hilton Head.  The incredible leaders challenged us to move out of our comfort and security and get a taste of what it is like to truly walk in faith.  It was transformational for us all.  What we received far outweighs the efforts we put forth.  What a gift it was to see one of our highschoolers receive Christ.  Prayer was answered during this trip and God made Himself known in a real way.  Not only did our kids grow in their faith, they grew in their love and empathy for one another, as well as the marginalized in society.  During the final night’s debrief, the leaders poured into the kids, edifying them as they did the same with one another.  “Emotionally fulfilled and physically drained” is what our leader, Keith, said to me the last day.  I agreed, but would add “spiritually filled” as it was apparent that the Holy Spirit was truly with us.  Thank you to AIM, Keith, Pat, Ben and Brittany for an amazing week.  You truly are changing the world for God’s glory!  Praying for you and all those you are able to reach through AIM.  God bless you!  Pamela Kafer
